Okay, so I was SO nervous about learning to surf. I'm not the most coordinated person and was convinced I'd just spend two hours falling off the board. But Joni was incredible. He has this super calm, positive energy that makes you feel instantly comfortable. He broke everything down so simply on the beach, and in the water, he was right there with me, giving me a little push at the perfect moment. And I actually did it, I stood up on my third try! The feeling was insane. He wasn't just a great teacher, but a super cool guy to hang out with. We were laughing the whole time. If you're on the fence about learning, just book a lesson with Joni. Best decision of my trip!

I've been surfing for a couple of years and felt like I'd hit a wall. I could catch waves, but I couldn't seem to generate speed or do proper turns. A two-hour guiding session with Joni was exactly what I needed. He didn't just watch from the beach, he paddled out with me and saw exactly what I was doing. Within 10 minutes, he pointed out two tiny things I was doing wrong with my posture and where I was looking. By the end of the session, I was catching better waves and actually surfing down the line instead of just straight to the beach. For any intermediate surfer feeling stuck, stop wasting time and book a session. Joni's the real deal.

Wow. The Sumbawa trip with Joni was something else. It truly felt like a holiday within our holiday, all the stress just melted away. Joni's local knowledge is great. He knew exactly which remote spot would be working and when, so we scored empty, perfect waves. He handled everything, from the boat to the beach BBQ, so all we had to do was surf, eat, and chill in a hammock. The vibe was so relaxed and authentic. If you want a real surf adventure away from it all, go with Joni. Already dreaming of going back. Thanks for the memories!
